6月2日 June 02Again, here it has been months. Time does fly lately. Jake and I are both staying rather busy at work. Christian just got out of school and it looks as though he will make onto 3rd grade. There is a picture of the awards he won the other day. Two are from an Art contest towards the beginning of the year, He took 3rd in the District. He also got an award for the best reader in his class. The final award is for being in 2nd place, in all of the 2nd graders, for the number of points that he earned reading accelerated reader books this year. There are also pictures from Abby's Baptism a few months ago and her birthday. She had tubes put in her ears a couple weeks ago and is doing great. One noticeable change is in her speaking. She is all of the sudden trying to say everything, and we never knew that she might be having a hard time hearing. I just thought we got one quiet kid...so much for that idea. Her new word this week was juice. And she is trying hard to get more out all the time. She is running after everyone now. She still has only 6 teeth, but has started drooling again, so I think a few more may be on the way soon. She is also wanting to be more independent every day and loves to be outside as much as her brother.
Well off I go again...duty calls. 2月13日 February 13thI have been informed that I am fired because I have been bad about updating the site after Jake got home. It is true, I have been doing bad about it so here is an update. The kids are doing great. Abby will be Baptised this weekend. Christian is making his way through 2nd grade pretty well lately. He will start soccer in a few weeks and is very excited about that. At his physical we found out that he is 50 1/2 inches and 60 pounds. Abby took her first few steps last night between Jake and I and was doing 4-5 each trip for about 15 min or so. I can't believe that she will have her birthday in a few weeks, man this year went fast. 12月12日 December 12Well here it has been a long time again. So much has happened, but I will try to sum it up the best I can. Christian, Abby, and I made a great trip to Germany over Thanksgiving. We had a good time and of course it was great to see Jake again. 9 months is a long time. He will home with us for good on monday. A lot of paperwork and headache went into making that happen, but I am glad it did. Having a holiday together will be a nice change. We will be going to Ohio to visit from Dec 26th-Jan2nd.
Christian is doing good. He seems to be ready for a the break and can't wait for Jake to get home. He will be part of the choir for the schools Nutcracker performance this week also. He tried out for a couple of parts, but it looks like they want the older kids to get those. I am sure that will be in our future over the next couple of years though.
Abby is getting so big. She got her first tooth on sunday after months of chewing on everything in sight. She has her legs under her all the time now and has the balance thing down pretty well. She will travel along furniture and will now move from one piece to another also. It won't be long now until she is walking everywhere, but I guess she listened to her daddy about waiting for that one.
I hope everyone has a good holiday. I am planning to add a few new pictures this evening also. 10月21日 October 21So where exactly did the last month go? Anyone? I did not realize it had been that long until I started getting complaints about the slow postings of pictures. I apologize for not doing my job....oops. We are almost done with the craziness. I have 28 days until I get on an airplane with the kids to go visit Germany again. I can't wait, so I hope this month goes as fast as the last month.
Well today is Christian's 8th birthday, but we did not do much for his birthday, but we are doing a small party for him at the local pizza place tomorrow. I noticed today that another pair of pants are too small for him. He just won't stop growing. He has been doing really good in school and is looking forward to the airplane ride to Germany. He always seems to be reading something, which I love.
Abby is 7 1/2 months old now and crawling everywhere. She is also dragging toys along with her as she crawls. She can get back up to sitting by herself after she crawls around. She has been getting up on her knees using the couches and tables and me. For the first time tonight she used a table to get herself all the way up to standing. I was so excited I yelled and scared her, but she just smiled at me. All she does is smile. We did have a couple of rough days this week and I think that we have entered the teething stage. The happy little girl literally goes from smiles to tears a minute at a time. She is out of all the 6/9 month shirts and is not too far from growing out of the pants too. She is in 12 month shirts and I am not sure we will make it through the winter in those. I think we are also turning the corner on eating. She has very little interest in baby food now. She had a whole piece of french toast without the crust this morning. She prefers Cheerios to any other food, especially the honey nut ones and also enjoys saltine crackers.
Well I will try to do better, but no promises. There is alot going on between now and Thanksgiving.
9月30日 Sept30Well just a few things. Abby had a follow up appt on monday for her ears, they are cleared up now. She weighed in at 19 lbs 12 oz, which means she gained 1 lb 4 oz in 3 weeks. She did gain any hieght, however, so I am expecting her to out grow all of her clothes very soon on another growth spirt. Christian is now on his fall break, which means we are already done with 2 months of school here. He is doing very well, but is starting to go back and forth about liking school or not. He is also getting taller and many of his jeans are starting to look a bit shorter on him. I guess I can't keep either of the small for ever.
I talked to Jake last night and he said that the cut off for mail is Oct 12th. I guess that means we are getting to the end. 9月17日 Sept 17thWell first of all I would like to say Happy Birthday to Jake!!! Raincheck on the celebration, just a little bit longer. Second, I would like to say sorry it has been so long once again. As you can see from the newest pictures folder, I have been snapping pictures but I haven't been tkaing the time to post them all. We are doing good. Abby had her 6 month appt ( I know hard to believe) on Sep 1st. She is now 18 lbs 2 oz and 27 inches long. She is not slowing down for nothing. Christian is well into the swing of school again, even has homework to do most nights. Abby is getting up on all fours now, but doesn't do much from there. She will rock back and forth and then throw her hands out in front to move forward. Don't get me wrong, she is very mobile and she will get to anything she wants around a room. She will roll, scoot, turn in circles or do a little worm looking move to accomplish it. I am starting to look forward to our trip to Germany now, I have started the countdown.
Well I have to run. Lunch to make for Christian and a sleepy little girl that just refuses to go to sleep. Hope you are all well.
Angy 8月21日 August 21Well we have made it another month. I have added some more pictures for every one to enjoy. Abby has a quite a personality on her. She is getting very mobile too. She loves her brother so much and she eyes him if he is in the room. She will have her 6 month appointment on Sept. 1 and I will post an update about her size again.
I talked to Jake earlier today. He is doing alright. He said it is miserable hot out, of course. We are all looking forward to the next few months going as quickly as possible.
Hope everyone is doing well.
